7 Billion

The words "But we don't take up as much space as you'd think.
Standing shoulder to shoulder all 7 billion of us would fill the city of Los Angeles.
So it's not space we need – it's balance" mean to me that if our population reaches 7 billion we need to create the right balance between managing garbage, our space and our differences.

9100000000% Of people in our world do not have clean drinking water.
26600000000% Of people in our world lack adequate sanitation.

Behind the Sense of Nolan MacInnis

 Behind My Name: Nolan

Before I started this assignment, I thought my name was Nolan, because that is what my parents named me I think my parents chose this name for me because they read they book of names and saw that this name was from Irish/English orgin and it means champion/famouse.

After searching on Behind the Name (http://www.behindthename.com/), I learned that my name means champion/famouse. It is from Irish/English orgin. Some other interesting things I learned are that my name is derived from the name O Nuallain descentdent of the Nuallan. I'm proud to share this name with a baseball great Nolan Ryan aswell as Owen Nolan.I think this name suits me well because I love to be a champion and I will do almost anything to win.
If I could give myself a new name, it would be Douglas, because I think this is a very cool name and a famouse hockey players name is Doug Gilmour. My father grew up with this person and I also know him pretty good.

My Moment!!!

The moment I'm using: When my lacrosse team won our Kingston tournoment.

Song: We Are The Champions

Artist: Queen

I chose this song for this event that happened in my life because obviously we won the gold medal but there is a couple other reasons. I also chose this song because I think the lyrics are good and insperational. The final reason is because after we won the game our whole team started to sing the chorus so loud that the other team at the other end of the hallway could hear us!

Where Is The Love?

We have recently listened to four songs Get up stand up by Bob Marley, Another Brick In The Wall by Pink Floyd, Where is The Love by The Black Eyed Peas, and Imagine by John Lennon. I chose Where Is The Love because I fell that this song had the most intense meaning and lyrics in it. It also speeks about very important topics that are going on in the world. Like war and child soilders etc. It also speeks about unity throughout the world and how everyone is and should be treated as a equal. They talk about keeping the faith that the world will get better and the world will change. So on that note I incourage you to listen to these four songs and choose which song has the deepest meaning to you.
